my 00 sentra stalls after backing off the throttle, and hesitates on accel, i already had the recall work done

The mass airflow sensor is probably going out.  This will not set a code and drives you nuts.  But, get a Haynes Manual or a factory service manual from nissantechinfo.com and follow the directions to check the air meter using a volt/ohm meter and it will probably show the mass airflow sensor is defective.
