Nissan Repair: water pump, timing chain, bolts

i cant get the timing chain cover off of my 96 maxima is there a place where i can pry it up to get it off it was replaced with a 97 cover and i cant get it off the change my water pump can you please help me to get this thing off

Hi Brian -

Are you sure you removed all the bolts? There should be 20 of them holding the cover on.

If you give me your email, I can send you a diagram of the cover so you can see where all the bolts are. If you did remove them all, there should be no trick to it, as long as you provide clearance to remove.
