Nissan Repair: 95 altima, shift light, gear shift

I've got a 95 altima and the gear shift light and the door panel lights will not come on.  Is this something I can fix?

If it is just the lights then replace the bulbs and that would mean taking the console a part to get access to the bulb.  I woudl say that the door panel light are probably the same too since the overhead would not work if the power was out on that circuit.
