Nissan Repair: Nissan Terrano TD2.7 SE2, nissan terrano, terrano 2

I own a terrano 2.7 diesel turbo 2001 Estate. While driving at 60 kph the malfuction Indicator light came on (in dashboard) and remain steadily. I stopped turn off engine. Restart 1 minute later. Not sen since.What could be the problem. This light is also connected to N.A.T.S

The MIL comes on when there is a condition by where the computer software is unable to control the engine system or a sensor has failed.  If you have a scanner you could read the code since it will be stored in memory for several ignition cycles.  If the MIL does not come back on you should be fine.  But, I would want to know what is going on too.

The N.A.T.S. should not come on while driving.  And, therefore should not be a related issue.  Here in the United States there are auto parts stores that will read error codes for free.  I am unfamiliar with the United Kingdom since I have not lived there since the mid 1970s...
