Nissan Repair: Tricky Car Alarm, neutral safety switch, nissan quest

The alarm system on my 1998 Nissan Quest had been broken for a long time.  It went on yesterday and I couldn't get it to go off.  Now, my battery is still fine, but my engine won't even turn over.  What do I do?

Disconnect the battery first.  Then, use the key in the driver's side door to unlock it.  That should kill the alarm.  Just remember that the alarm system will go off it is set and that will cause the problem again.  If the key in the door does not work check the neutral safety switch out for proper operation.
