Nissan Repair: 2000 nissan frontier, nissan frontier, plastic caps

when i am turning to the right there is a clunk oise that comes from the left side. any ideas

Answer
There are steering stops located on the steering knuckle that supposed to have plastic caps on them. They sometimes fall off and allow a metal to metal knock or creaking sound on sharp turns. Make sure all caps are there (there are two on each side) replace them if they are missing and lube where they make contact.
