Nissan Repair: Alternator not charging, nissan stanza, positive cable

I have a 1985 nissan stanza.The altrenator went out and i replaced it. Now the new alternator is not charging either. Took it back, they gave me another one, this one is NOT chargingn either.I checked the wiring from the alternator to the battery and they are good. I also attached a ground wire from the casing of the alternator to the frame,still not charging. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

Check the fuses and fuse links at the positive cable terminal to make sure the fuses and fuse links are not blown.  After that, check the fuses under the hood and dash.  I say this since you say the alternator is fine and grounding it had no effect.
