Nissan Repair: 2001 Nissan Altima GXE, nissan altima gxe, nissan altima

Someone recently broke into my car.  My alarm was activated but never went off.  Now when I insert my key into the ignition, it is locked.  I remember when buying my car they advised me that there is a kill switch.  How do I reset it?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

If there is a kill switch the alarm is an aftermarket unit on top of what Nissan installs factory.  The valet/reset switch should be under the dash on the drivers side.  The little computer box should be black and about the size of a pack of cigarettes.  If you say the key is locked I would be wiggling the steering wheel back and forth as it is probably the steering wheel interlock.  Email me back if you need more.
