Is it hard to replace a transmission solenoid?

You have to remove the pan and it is in the valve body.  If you are not experienced with front wheel drive transmissions I would take it to Cottman and have them do the work.  It is not difficult but since it is front wheel drive it is a messy job.  There are several solenoids in the valve body so it is just a matter of getting the right one and replacing it.  It is electrical so you want to make sure you get the wiring correct too.
