Nissan Repair: lights flickering; engine slight pulsing, current supply, autozone

2002 Altima 3.5L  133,000 miles
Battery light stays on after starting  goes out when driving; Lights have a
slight flicker when driving; can feel a slight pulsing from the engine while
driving; runs smooth at idle.

Any help before I see a mechanic would be appreciated.

Larry,

Have the electrical system diagnosed.  Autozone or Checker will do the test for free.  It sounds like the alternator is going out.  Specifically, one of the fields is blown (there are three over-lapping fields to provide a constant current supply).
