Nissan Repair: motor, nissan maxima, auto store
QuestionI HAVE A 93 NISSAN MAXIMA AND IT RAN HOT FOR THE FIRST TIME ABOUT A MONTH AGO BECAUSE MY FANS WASN'T COMING ON. OKAY, I GOT MY FAN FIXED YESTERDAY AND I GOT IT IDLE UP SOME BECAUSE IT KEPT CUTTING OFF. BUT NOW IT'S STILL CUTTING OFF WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE OR SLOW DOWN OR WHEN I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. AND IT'S ALSO SHAKING REAL BAD. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT IT'S SHAKING SO BAD BECAUSE I NEED A BACK MOTOR MOUNT. AND IT KEEPS CUTTING OFF BECAUSE I NEED A AILE CONTROL SENSOR. ALSO I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT COULD BE MY FUEL CONTROL SENSOR. COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME OUT.
Answeri had this happen to me too. your problem...? toasted plug wires ;) this guy just wants to charge you for parts that will rack up labor rates and screw you out of some money. go to a auto store and pick up a set of wires and you can easily hook these up within 20 minutes, just replace one at a time so don't mix up your plug pattern. this similar situation happened to me on a Nissan. i drove it HOT for about 30 minutes (had no other choice) and i had all your symptoms, and it turned out to be a plug wire. the motor gets ridiculous hot next to the wires, easily melts them. i hope this works, no one wants to waste money on car repairs that aren't needed. let me know your outcome!
