Nissan Repair: 1992 Nissan Maxima Transmisison problem, nissan maxima, solenoids

I have a 1992 Nissan Maxima , while driving the car just stopped moving. Now you can shift it in any gear but it doesn't move. I checked the gear cable and that fine.Any ideas? Everyone thinks the transmission is busted. I think could be some solenoids or some sensors. Please advise

the only real way to find out what your situation is, is to take it to a trusted mechanic and have the transmission serviced.  theres not much i can do online but give a general suggestion on your question.  without seeing this myself, i cant say for sure what your problem is, but if you have checked the cable, and you are positive that your cable is 100% intact, then my suggestion is to replace the transmission.  i would choose a used over a rebuild due to a)costs and b)reliability.  good luck and let me know how this turns out.  [email protected]  i apologize for not giving you a more detailed answer, but without inspecting this car in person, its the only advice i can give you.   good luck!
