Nissan Repair: nissan sunny suspension system, inner tie rod, drive shaft
QuestionDear expert,
I have nissan sunny ex salon 1996 (A), It's quite old, though a nice car. Last month I got a small accident where the car slip down to the water channel and a half right of it's body drown to the water. After towed out, and checked, there is no significant damage on the car, but the right drive shaft. I just realized now that when the car running above 110 km/h the steering shaking hardly. The mechanics told us to change&balancing the front tire and we do so, but it doesn't show any change, could you suggest what exactly sort of problem it is ?
thanks for your kind info
AnswerErlangga,
I would check the driveshaft for being bent and the bearing for damage and water. If the driveshaft was damaged the bearing is problem got a flat spot from the impact and that would cause vibration. Also, the inner tie rod end might be loose since the impact could release the pre-load on the tie rod. Check these out as it is either bearing or suspension related.
