Nissan Repair: 2001 Quest Power Window, speciality tools, regulator assembly

My passenger side power window cable severed and the window came crashing down. What is the best way to fix the problem?

Get a window regulator assembly.  It comes with a new motor and cable regulator and track.  You take your door panel off and remove the old regulator and replace it with the new one.  Just bolts and then those on the window glass.  To get the regulator out of the door have someone hold the glass up for you and then install the new one while the glass is held up.  If you have a nifty set of suction cups you can do it yourself without help.  Nice way to go if you have the speciality tools.  But, you can do it with help really fast.
