Nissan Repair: 91 NISSAN UNIVERSAL JOINT, piece drive shaft, driveshaft shop

91 NISSAN TRUCK KING CAB WITH 2 PIECE DRIVE SHAFT. MY REAR UNIVERSAL JOINT IS BAD. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SOME LOCAL MECHNICS THAT I HALF TO REPLACE THE SHAFT BECOUSE THE UV IS NOT CHANGEALBE. DO YOU KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE OR WHERE
I COULD GO TO BUY A SHAFT. THE DEALER SAYS THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND THEY REFUNDED MY MONEY

Yes, it is true for the most part.  But, you can check your local area for a driveshaft shop and take it to them and they can rebuild it or cut out the universal joint and install a new end.  I have done this and it works out great.  Normal shops do not even attempt this and that is why you take it to a driveshaft shop.
