Nissan Repair: Timing Belt, nissan xterra, maintenance intervals

I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra. How can I tell from the VIN if I have a timing belt or chain. Thanks

If it is a V6 you have a belt.  Look in the owners manual under the maintenance intervals and then look in ghte back at the two different engines available.  Email me back if you have problems.  Check the change interval for the belt and it is either 60k miles or 90k miles.
