Nissan Repair: Electrical, krissie, battery cable
QuestionI Accidently touched the negative and the positive parts of the battery together, and shorted basically everything electrical in the entire car. What would I need to do to fix this? Could I do it myself, or would I need a professional?
AnswerKrissie,
If the car starts you are ahead of the game. If not replace the battery and the fuses on the positive side of the battery cable. After that it is a matter of checking and replacing fuses and components that do not power back up. Now, I have seen one where the radio was blown and another where the ECM was gone. You should not have that problem.
