Nissan Repair: Steering Column, nissan sentra gxe, nissan sentra

Hi! I just bought a used 95 Nissan Sentra GXE, without doing a simple thing -- getting it inspected before purchase.  Upon getting the inspection...they told me the following:
steering column not secure...it runs great, there isn't an issue with steering, and a gent told me who looked at it...we might just need a locking device on the left side, that adjusts the column for driving ease.  Can you tell me...did I make a terrible mistake?  can this be fixed?  thanks!

It is an easy fix be getting the parts from a wrecking yard.  The friction lock is defective and if the bolt and washer are missing it is just a matter of getting ones from a wrecked car.  If you look in the wrecking yard you will see what is missing on yours.
