Nissan Repair: Suspension, nissan xterra, road performance
QuestionMy 2003 Nissan Xterra SE needs shocks (95,000 on original). I'm looking to monotube shocks, that will give me better off road performance, but I don't want to compromise normal driving comfort too too much. I am aware that the stiffer shock will do this somewhat. The 2 i've been researching are the NISMO 5300s manufactured by Bilstein and the Tokico Trek Master. the Trek Master offers a complete kit with adjustable leaf springs, which would aid with towing. Obviously, both companies say theirs is the best at off road with little compromise to a comfortable normal driving experience. any help would be great even if it's just directing me to where I could get a good comparison.

Both systems are good. But, for the money I would go with the Tokico since they have more options and the complete kit makes for adjustments to meet your desire for both driving conditions. Plus, the Tokico allows for a great option when it comes to towing. The NISMO does not and they are really mission specific. So, I would go with the Tokico...
