Is it a manual or automatic.  If it is a manual it can be rebuilt and the cost is substantially less as is a rebuild of an automatic.  If it is 4X4 it costs more.  Worst case is about $2500 bucks and it could be as little as $1500.  A new transmission is even more money and if you have someone do the install think even more for labor.  Checkout courtesynissan.com and have them give you a quote for the part and if you want someone else to do the job call your local Cottman Transmission shop.
