Nissan Repair: 1995 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 transmission, nissan pathfinder, linkage problem

I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4. The transmission works in "park," "Drive," "2," and "1," but will not go into reverse - is it a linkage problem or is the whole xmission getting ready to go?

The reverse is probably broken and just laying in the case of the transmission.  I have not done one of your but on a Ford I did they sold a band that could be installed by removing the pan with the transmission still in the vehicle.  Check a transmission shop and see if they sell the part that can be installed the way I describe.
