Nissan Repair: turn key electric goes off, nissan pathfinder, first choice

I have an 87 Nissan Pathfinder, when I turn the key the electric system shuts off.  I have to remove a battery termanal to get electric back on.  Any ideas to try.

It sounds like you have a bad relay and that is what is causing the problem.  Anyway, take the fues/relay panel off and when you disconnect the battery listen for the relay that is turning off.  That would be my first choice to diagnose which relay is defective.  Email me back if this does not do the trick.
