where do you find the flasher relay on a nissan maxima 1992

It should be under the dash.  Turn off the radio and turn the key to on.  Do not start the car.  Now, flip the turn signal or flashers on and listen to where it is coming from.  That is how I have done it for years.  Unless the flasher is welded together you will hear it.  The flasher for yours should be above the fuse panel.
