Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Water pump 97 Achieva, olds achieva, quad4

Question
I have a 97 Olds Achieva Quad4 without a water pump.  The person who took it off can't install the new water pump.  He says it is to hard.  I have had a couple of people tell me that it is really difficult.  Do you have any helpful tips.

hi missy.yes this is very hard .but whoever puts it back on make sure the car is blocked up high enough for access.use all the gaskets.there really is no way other then experience and knowledge to replace this pump.i would take to a repair facility as ,major eng damage could be done by improper procedures.good luck missy please rate my help  billymac
