Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Cruise control did not work, great shape, cruise control

Hi,
I have a 95 Olds 88 with 66K miles on it and in great shape. Recently, the cruise control did not work. Where and what do I check first to find out the cause(s)?

Hi Sy,
First, you might check the fuses, but if you also have a light in the instrument cluster on saying Brake, then I can narrow down both problems.
Check the stop light located in the back window area, and see if it operates when the other stop lights work. If not, the bulbs in that light may be burned out, and that will cause both the cruise to not work, as well as the brake light in the dash to stay on.
Check those two possibilities.
