Plymouth Repair: leaking water pump car wont start, interference engines, car wont start

my '97 breeze stalled today and will not start we towed it home and noticed that
the water pump was leaking and we had no coolant are these problems related.
we did not notice an increase in temp before car stalled. thank you for any info
you could offer.

Hey,

 Timing belt probably came off when the pump seized. Thats crappy. Not the end of the world though.  The book says they are interference engines but I ahve yet to see one bend a valve.  Turn it over with the oil cap off and see if the rockers are moving.
