Pontiac Repair: Windshield Wipers, windshield wipers, pontiac grand am

I own a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am SE.  The windshield wipers began to malfunction in that they would not stop and park.  When you tap the mist function the wipers would sweep 3 or 4 times and then stop for a moment and then start again.  I replaced the column multi-switch thinking that maybe the contacts were worn; this did not solve the problem.  Is there a relay or control board?  Do I need to replace the motor also?

Hi Mike.

I believe on that car the motor and control board are 1 piece not replaceable seperatly. I'm not a parts guy so I can't say for sure but it sounds like the board is the issue here not the motor but you maight have to get both :(
