Idle Rpms dropped  check engine light came on won't idle right but runs alright when u accelerate

Hi Charles:

stop by one of the big box auto parts stores and have the car scanned for codes and see what code(s0) are stored with out knwoing why the light is on It's just a guess as to what the issue may be. when you say it will not idle right does it run rough or just a low idle?
