Pontiac Repair: Pontiac Firebird Window Motor, digital volt meter, pontiac firebird

Hi Todd,

I have a 2002 Pontiac Firebird, 3.8L engine.  When I activate the
driver's side power window button, the window does not go up or down.  All I hear is a faint click, the motor gear does not seem to be turning.  Any ideas other than replacing the motor?

Hi mike:
more then likley the motor is bad. if you have a digital volt meter back probe the wires going into the motor and actiave the swicth up and down. with the engine running the volt meter should dead + (battery volatge) around 14 volts and the - (battery volatge) if so the motor is bad. good luck :-}
