Pontiac Repair: 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, blower motor resistor, ac delco parts

I cant seem to find out anywhere why i need to keep replacing the blower motor resistor. A new one lasts maybe 6 months before slowly speeds for heat/ac will die out until it no longer works at all

have you replaced the part with an OEM part from the dealer or an AC Delco parts store? after market ones do noty hold up. the original equipment part has been changed to a part that rarely fails and it looks completly different then the original part. If indeed it keeps burning up the redesigned part I would suspect that the blower motor is drawing too much and burning up the part. Possably caused by a water leak into the blower motor and heater box? did ther ever water on the r/f carpet?
