Pontiac Repair: power door switch, pontiac grand am, door switch

Question
How do you fix, 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE power locks, they
lock and unlock in when in gear and out of gear but the
driver's door and passenger side door lock button won't work?

well you either have to bad switches (doubtful) or a wiring issue between the switches and the body control computer.. Possably a bad body control computer. That year car was noted for water leak onto the body computer and it corroded the connctors going to the body computer That is where I would look first the body computer is located under the glove box intfront of the blower motor.
