Question
Everytime i slow to a stop, i hear a loud growling noise coming from my front brakes. It used to be barely noticeable but now is unbearable. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Dan:

well it can be a lot of things. First and foremost I'd say you have some sort of a rotor issue where  either the rotors are rotting out on the stopping surfaces where the pads grip them or you have rotors that got really hot and are glazed and the brake pads are not gripping the rotrs right. Or that last thing is if you have the brake pads replaced and they are aftermarket pads the compound of the pads may be to harsh and it's making the noise. Good luck :)
