hi i have a 99 grand am 4 cyl when checking the code was getting misfire # 4 also getting like smoke out the exhaust system smell like gas i change the one coil for # 4 but still getting the same code and smoke  any help will be appreciated

Hi Raul:

well if yout getteing raw gas out the exhaust it's not firing in the cylinder. Either your lacking spark, the cylinder is low on compression or you have an injector that's leaking and putting too much fuel into the cylinder. It's one of those 3 things. You  will have to narrow it down from there. I doubt it's a sprak issue if your not getting misfires on #1 as well.
