Pontiac Repair: 1999 Pontiac Montana radiator fans, coolant level, radiator fans

took the kids trick or treating the temp gauge started to rise.I did not here the fans come on.Have not had a problem overheating before.after all the stop and go and was up to speed the temp came back down.
What do I do to check the fans or the relays? looking in the fuse box it shows to have 3 relays and one fuse.Checked the fuse it looks good.

How high did temp actually get?
I would check coolant level in both resivoir and radiator
I would turn A/C on, the fans SHOULD come on within 5 mins of Air conditioner coming on.
If not it really should be taken and see if they can be commanded on with a scan tool.
At that time the wiring can be checked and tested.
