1988 Pontiac Grand Prix/2.8/auto w a/c  Is the fuel pump in the tank and what's the change out proceedure? Symptom-erractic no start/throttle up hesitation/stall out.

WELL BEFORE YOU PULL THE TANK ON THE CAR , HAVE SOMEONE CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY FIEL PRESURE, ALSO CHECK THE FUSE AND RELAY,, THEN MAKE SURE THE WIRING PLUG AT THE REAR OF THE FUEL TANK IS GETTING POWER, IF ALL CHECKS OUT YOU ,, FIRST MUST RAISE CAR UP OFF THE GROUND REMOVE THE STARAPS AND HOSES FROM THE TANK VERY VERY CAREFILLY let the tank drop down as to expose the lines at the top , if your not real good you might snapo them. this might be something you need a shop to do you be the judge
