QuestionWhat tools do I need to put my belt back on the alternator
AnswerOne 3/8 drive ratchet are the tools that you will need.
There is a 3/8" square hole on the end of the tensioner, you use that hole for leverage to push against the spring and get the belt on or off.
the tensioner should be in the middle somwhere, the spring inside it puts tension on the belt, hence the name tensioner.
Relatively simple operation that can be done on the side of the road.
Flag down the next hick that drives by in a pickup and ask him to help.
