Pontiac Repair: Gear Shift from Park, pontiac grand prix, gear shift

Hello!

I own a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix SE.  Currently, the car is stuck
in PARK.  The push-botton has broken off, and I can't seem to
shift out of PARK.  Can someone help me know what part I
need... is this something I can do myself?

Hi, you can do this, take the gear shifter nob off it has a small scwer on the side of it, take the scwer a loose the nob will come off. inside the shifter there is a small rod push down on it, this will let it come out of park, the part you will need is the shift handel
