Porsche Repair: speedometer cluster, porsche 968, component failure

The speedometer on my 1994 Porsche 968 just stopped working.  All other dash instruments are fine.  Fuses are fine, ABS sensors are new...  any ideas what to check next?  Thank you very much.

If the odometer/trip meter is working then you have a component failure in the speedo assembly.

If the speedo & odometer/trip meter does not work then you need to check  the signal from the transaxle. If that is good, then you need to have the speedo repaired.
