Porsche Repair: 928 fuel pump, fuel pump relay, test light

Dave  I have a 928 84model been sitting for about  four years, drained the fuel,check for spark,it will fire with a small shot of starting   fluid,no fuel, checked pump,test light  came on when i tested for elec at the pump  install new pump, and no elec on hot side of pump.? cranked and still no elec, found some relays,under right side of dash and fuses,replaced blown fuses,and nothing at pump?  any ideas?

Hi Mark,

The prime suspect sure sounds like your fuel pump relay.  This site,

may help you id the relay in your car.  If you can find it, I can show you an easy way to test it.
