my 1985 porsche 944 wont start it has good compression, spark, and fuel pressure. starter was just replaced it seems like the car is flooding. what else should i check?

Hi Eddie,

Could you give me a bit more background please.  I have a hunch where the problem lies...but it'll depend on the answers to these questions:

1.  Between today and the previous time the car started on its own, how many days have elapsed?

2.  How long has it been since the car had a tune-up, where the spark plugs were changed, the rotor, distributor cap and spark plug wires were changed, and the timing was checked?
