RV Repair: Water connection 1987 terry resort, water connection, sealant

Question
Broke the water connector

took screws out, doesn't  seem to come apart.
Just needed to know if I should be able to disconnect and replace at that point. Was afraid that i might break something

do you mean the connection outside the RV, where the hose connects?  If so, this is probably clamped or connected inside the RV and that may be tugging on it a bit.  Also there is some sealant that also may be causing you problems getting the connector to come off.  Carefully but with care, work the connector out of the wall of the RV, as long as all screws are out.
