QuestionI have a 1983 Prowler trailer and I am haveing trouble getting the tail lights to work. I searched all websites to come up with either a wiriing diagram or an owners manual...NO LUCK!
What suggestions do you have for me. all other lights work.?
AnswerThe tail lights are always the problem. It starts with the ground. I have had to run a wire from the ground of the light straight to the frame of the RV before. You can do this secluded or right down the back of the camper.
First make sure you get a good connection at the plug from the truck. You can make a tester, use a test light, or they sell a flat for that plugs into the truck harness; which has little bulbs on it to test the working of the truck. You can get a test light from a dollar store.
If the truck is good and the trailer connection is good. Then you need to give the tail lights their own ground. Clean the metal on the frame, drill a hole and install a bolt. Then attach to that. Then cover with di-electric grease.
Flat Four: Yellow = Left turn and Brake
Brown = dimmer, running light, license plate, ect.
Green = Right turn and Brake
White is ground

good luck
