RV Repair: electrical modual short, pace arrow, modual

On my son-in-law's 1984 Pace Arrow motorhome we are getting an electrical short that is burning out the moduial in the didtributer. If I replace the modual the engine will srtart and run for about a minute then stops. I can't find a wiring diagram to see what the cnnections should be. Any ideas?

i would first trace the two wires that run inside the distributor that they are not shorting out inside the cap anywhere.
than i would trace the wires outside the cap to make sure they are not grounding out
i have ran across a bad run of electronic parts like that before i would try autozone but if you went there first than try advance auto.the different parts store just may be the ticket
