RV Repair: Slide out lower wheel well seal, yellow weather, auto part stores
QuestionThe seal that runs the length of the slide out was not positioned properly from the factory. This seal butts up to a solid part of the frame under the slide out and prevents road spray from the wheels when traveling in the rain.
I would like to reposition the seal and move it about 1 inch to get the full contact to the frame.
What would be the best way to remove and reposition and what glue would you recommend. This looks to be rubber seal and is presently glued to the frame.
Thanks,
Gregg
AnswerIf i understand you right this is a splash guard to keep wheel spray down.
If thats the case you may beable to peel it off and then you can use some slat strap to hod it in place. if you dont want to do that 3m makes a yellow weather stripping adhesive that you can get at most auto part stores. If this isnt the answer you want send pic to
[email protected] so I can see it
Thanks and good luck
