RV Repair: venture electric slide out motor, fleetwood prowler travel trailer, prowler travel trailer

I have a Venture electric slide motor assembly that fits on a 2004 fleetwood prowler travel trailer with a stripped plastic gear. I have contacted Lippert, the company who manufactures the slide out system for this trailer. They tell me I cannot buy just the gear, but have to buy the whole assembly at the tune of over $400. Can anyone help??!!

 Unfortunately I have the same problem with them as I just bought one myself for a 2006 Monaco my cost is almost $400.  Try ebay, I have found one there before at half that price. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
