RV Repair: Generator wont start, coil resistance, ohmeter

Question
I have power to the relay but it does not click
or do anything like with a dead battery.
How do I test the relay?

If you have 12 volts to the relay coil and it is properly grounded and does not make then the relay is bad. Take the wires off the relay coil and check the coil resistance with an ohmeter. You should have 5-8 ohms of resistance. If the resistance is higher than that the relay will not work.
