QuestionI hear an exhaust leak on the engine, but not sure where to start to remove manifold. work from top?, bottom? shroud removal? thanks bblue
AnswerHi Brett:
Some of the dodge powered Motor Homes are really tough to work on. My suggestion is to locate the exhaust leak precisely. You can do that with a chunck of 5/8" heater hose by running the engine and moving the hose around until you locate the leak. Access can be tough and there is no easy solution. I have at times had to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine, or cut holes in the shrouding. On a unit that old the bolts and nuts will be tight or frozen. Some of them may break. It is always a real hassle. Good luck.
