RV Repair: Generators, rv generator, receptical

Question
My RV generator runs, but I am not getting any a/c power to the microwave and air conditioner.

1998 Jamobree. Onan 4000 generator.

Look in the door that holds your shore power cord.  Is it plugged into a 220v receptical that should be mounted in the cord box.
RV's have to be plugged into themselves when not plugged into shore power.  I found that out the hard way, watched as an RV tech did just that and charged me $ 50.00.
