How difficult is it to repair a broken cable on the winch that raises a pop up camper and approx. how much would it cost to do it yourself or have it done?

Good morning Bobby,

     There are many different type lift systems on the pop-ups that have been built over the years.  Depending on which one we are talking about it could be rather complicated.  I have had lift system repairs run as much as $1,000.00 in extreme cases.  If you can let me know what year and brand of pop-up we are talking about I may be able to give you a better idea.
