RV Repair: WIRING, guage wire, gmc sierra

I NEED TO HOOK UP A CHARGING CIRCUIT FOR THE BATTERIES ON A NEW WILDWOOD TRAVEL TRAILER. I HAVE A 2001 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHAT GAUGE OF WIRE AND FUSE SHOULD I USE?

Hi Gene,
I would use a 30amp thermal circut breaker. (most auto parts stores have them)
Run 10 guage wire.It needs to go right to the alternator charge post. If you do not run it thru a relay be sure to unplug the trailer when parked so you do not run down the truck battery.
